Transforming Justice to Transform Community

  • UCLA School of Law 385 Charles E Young Drive East, Room 1420 Los Angeles, CA 90095 (map)

From the event description:

“The UCLA Campus Assault Resources & Education (CARE) Program works to support survivors of sexual, relationship, and gender-based violence, promote healing, and ultimately prevent future harm. CARE stipulates that conversations about sexual violence cannot happen in isolation and thus CARE is committed to the simultaneous eradication of oppression in all forms.

The CARE Program invites you to an evening with experts in restorative and transformative justice featuring:

Grace Hong, PhD (she/her)
Professor, Gender Studies and Asian American Studies at UCLA

Ramsey Champagne, M.A. (she/her)
Community Advocate at Harvard University

Xhercis Méndez, PhD (she/her)
Assistant Professor at Cal State Fullerton

Panelists will discuss the power of restorative and transformative practices in addressing unjust social and political inequity and ultimately transforming our community into a space where all people feel safe, respected, and valued. To do that, we will need your voice. Come join the conversation!”
